This knowledge alone can change your life dramatically for the better.
Maybe you have never really taken the time to think about what your feelings are really for. Well, they are there to guide us and to let us know which of our needs are not being fulfilled and to motivate us to take action to fulfill them. Our culture has a history of suppressing negative feelings and when we hold them in and they build up we become frustrated and depressed. But, when you understand what your feelings are trying to tell you, instantly you begin to take back control of your emotions.
When we don’t acknowledge our negative feelings and ignore them and stuff them, they end up stored not just in the head or heart, but in every cell, muscle, and organ in our body. When these feelings begin to overflow we feel bad and then we end up vulnerable to develop bad habits, anxiety, depression, or even illness.
We can free ourselves from this vicious cycle of suppressing our negative feelings and distracting or feeling bad by learning a self-coaching process.
